Acceptable Use Policy

A table is a private room among people who invited each other. Most of what keeps it pleasant is ordinary manners rather than policy. This page covers the parts that are not negotiable.

Toward other people

• Do not harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse anyone, in chat or through a nickname.
• Do not post hateful content, including anything attacking people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
• Do not post sexually explicit content, and never anything depicting or sexualising a minor. There is no second chance on this one and we will report it.
• Do not impersonate another person, and do not pick a nickname designed to make people think you are someone you are not.
• Do not share other people's private information.
• Do not upload an avatar image you do not have the right to use. See the DMCA and Copyright Policy.

Toward the game

• Do not collude. Sharing hole cards with another player, soft-playing a partner, or coordinating bets to trap a third player ruins the game for everyone at the table.
• Do not use a bot, script, solver, or any automated aid to decide your action against players who do not know you are using one. Seating a bot through the table's own controls is fine, because everyone can see it.
• Do not try to see cards you are not entitled to see, or attempt to reconstruct the deck.
• Do not stall the clock deliberately to frustrate other players.
• Do not use one person's connection to occupy several seats at the same table.

The engine enforces the rules of the game itself. It cannot see a side conversation, which is why collusion is a matter of trust among the people you invited.

Toward the service

• Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site or its infrastructure except as allowed under "Security research" below.
• Do not attempt to defeat, evade, or exhaust the rate limits.
• Do not flood the site with connections or tables, or otherwise degrade it for other people.
• Do not scrape the site or automate access to it.
• Do not reverse engineer or decompile the parts of the site that are not already served to your browser.
• Do not sell, buy, trade, or run any market in chips, tables, or invite codes. Chips are not property and have no value. See the Terms of Use.
• Do not use the site to run a commercial gambling operation.

Security research

We welcome good faith reports of security problems, and we would much rather hear from you than not. If you are testing:

• Use your own tables. Do not touch a table other people are playing at.
• Do not access, alter, or retain anyone else's data, and stop as soon as you have proof a problem exists.
• Do not run denial of service tests, load tests, or anything that degrades the site for others.
• Do not use social engineering or physical attacks.
• Report what you find to abuse@pokernight.win and give us reasonable time to fix it before publishing.

We do not run a paid bug bounty. We will not pursue anyone who follows the above in good faith, and we will credit you if you would like us to.

Reporting a problem

Email abuse@pokernight.win with enough detail to identify what happened, and include the table code while the table is still running. Tables are deleted shortly after they empty, so a report that arrives afterward reaches an empty room. Copyright complaints go to the DMCA policy instead.

Enforcement

We may remove content, end a table, or block access at any time and without notice. We do not pre-screen or moderate content, and there is nobody watching your table. What we can do is act on a report.

A table's host has their own powers over their own table, including removing a player and clearing chat, and those are usually faster than we are.

Because there are no accounts, enforcement means blocking access rather than closing a profile. Serious matters, in particular anything involving a minor, will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
